International Puppet Festival 2022
Friday, August 12, 1–6pm
Saturday, August 13, 9am–6pm
Sunday, August 14, 9am–6pm
The Puppets Up! International Puppet Festival brings some of the best and most innovative puppetry from around the world to the streets of Almonte. The 2022 festival will feature performances from past favourites like The Frogtown Mountain Puppeteers, Tanglewood Marionettes and Joshua Holden, as well as new troupes and special guests. The beloved Puppets Up Parade returns on Saturday and Sunday, when there will also be plenty of street entertainment as well as a Kids’ Craft Tent where young folks can create their own puppets. Friday is a quieter day, with shows taking place in two of the five venues, with some street entertainment (no parade or craft tent).
A limited number of day passes are now available at Early Bird prices for Adults (ages 18 & up) and Kids (ages 4-17). Ages 3 and under are admitted free.
Guests 12 and over will be required to show ID and QR coded proof of vaccination to attend. Guests under 12 must be accompanied by an adult with proof of vaccination. All guests agree to adhere to provincial and local health board regulations in place at the time of the festival.
Day passes do not include the evening shows at the Almonte Old Town Hall. Those events will be ticketed separately and tickets will be on sale in the coming weeks.
All ticket sales are final.
Postponement due to Covid-19: Should the 2022 festival be affected by reasons related to the Covid-19 pandemic, organizers may postpone the festival to the second weekend of August, 2023, and all ticketholder fees will be credited towards that event.
Cancellation by Puppets Up: Puppets Up reserves the right to cancel the 2022 festival at any time not later than June 30, 2022. In the event of cancellation, Puppets Up will refund the ticket price less any administrative processing fees.
